@properties Friends and Neighbors Community Fund

@properties Friends and Neighbors Community Fund is proud to support the efforts of the following organizations for 2010.  These organizations were chosen from 40 applicants, based on a set of criteria determined by the FNCF advisory board.

They offer us the opportunity as a company to make a difference in the lives of children, adolescents and adults.  Please visit their web sites for more information.

Camp of Dreams: www.campofdreams.org- believes that too many young people, especially those between the ages of 8 to 18 who are economically disadvantaged, fall between the cracks in Chicago's educational system. These students can benefit enormously from the same types of educational, cultural, and community-building opportunities that are more readily afforded to young people from more privileged situations.

Lincoln Park Community Shelter: www.lpcsonline.org- is a comprehensive social service agency serving adult men and women who are experiencing homelessness. Located in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, the LPCS has been providing shelter and other basic needs to our homeless neighbors for 25 years. Today, the LPCS provides interim housing, meals, and a targeted array of social services to over 300 people each year.

Street Level: www.street-level.org educates Chicago's urban youth in media arts and emerging technologies for use in self-expression, communication, and social change. Street-Level's programs build critical thinking skills for young people who have been historically neglected by public policy makers and mass media

Urban Initiatives: www.urbaninitiatives.org- works with schools, teachers, and parents to boost the physical fitness, health education, academic performance, and character development of children from Chicago's underserved communities by actively engaging them in safe and structured extracurricular activities through soccer programs, field trips, and cultural outings.
